Trained in the Del Close originated long form improvisation, “The Harold” Respecto Montalban have developed their own unique take on this renowned improvised structure; they call it “Fat City”. One simple suggestion prompts the description of a highly detailed world, which is used as the jumping off point for their scene work. Their fast paced and highly physical scenes explore divergent characters and locations in this world and then seamlessly tie them together for a crowd-pleasing conclusion.
Respecto Montalban has performed in the New York City’s Toyota Comedy Festival, The Chicago Improv Festival, The Del Close Improvisational Marathon, and the Minneapolis Improv Festival.
In addition to being performers all the members of Respecto Montalban are teachers of improvisation.
